My hotel, the Westin, looked over the city and the river and was next door to the French quarter, the Aquarium, the Harrah's Casino, all the good stuff.
Me taking my riverboat ride all by my lonesome, and really enjoying the break from work and a chance to play tourist. I actually answered email and took calls since I was technically only on lunch break!

The Calliope which was on the top of the riverboat Natchez! It was really great fun! Next time I wouldn't get food poisoning and I would over eat more (if that is even possible).

The Big Easy didn't go down so well towards the end

Thursday night after some fantastic food, and enjoyable company, I found myself hugging the toilet instead of enjoying NOLA flavor. I got a 24 hour/food poisoning bug. I don't want to blame the food because it was fantastic. But man did I feel like crap. And I missed out on beignets. I had saved them for an all out hog fest on Friday because our other mornings were too early. Guess it just means I need to return soon. I did enjoy it!

The Big Easy

I have eaten and eaten here in New Orleans. I think I will be able to live off the amount of food I have eaten in the last few days for at least several weeks. Especially the pralines I bought this morning that may completely block my arteries with butter. But dang are they good!

I am here for work attending a team conference for my branch. It has been frustrating and hard. However I think it has also been good for communication. Those that were even remotely inclined to listen were able to listen more. There were those that are incapable of hearing who remain remote. I am hoping that people can start to feel more confident in the capability of those they work with enough to start doing a better job.
